The Law of the Garbage Truck:

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport.
We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.

My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches!

The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us!

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, really friendly.

So I asked, “Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!”
This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, “The Law of the Garbage Truck.”

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage(frustration, anger, and disappointment, etc.). As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they’ll dump it on you.

Don’t take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don’t take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

Final Words:

Successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life’s too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so… love the people who treat you right & pray for the ones who don’t.
Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

Have a blessed, garbage-free life.

My mom only had one eye. I hated her… She was such an embarrassment. She cooked for students and teachers to supportthe family.
There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me. I was so embarrassed. How could she do this to me? I ignored her, threw her a hateful
look and ran out. The next day at school one of my classmates said,‘EEEE, your mom only has one eye!’ I wanted to bury myself. I also wanted my mom to just disappear. I confronted her that day and said, ‘ If you’re only gonna make me a laughing stock, why don’t you just die?’
My mom did not respond… I didn’t even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because I was full of anger. I wasoblivious to her feelings. I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her. So I studied real hard, got a chance togo abroad to study. Then, I got married. I bought a house of my own. I had kids of my own. I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts.
Then one day, my Mother came tovisit me. She hadn’t seen me in years and she didn’t even meet her grandchildren. When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at herfor coming over uninvited. I screamed at her, ‘How dare you come to my house and scare my children!’ GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!’
And to this, my mother quietly answered, ‘Oh, I’m so sorry. I mayhave gotten the wrong address,’ and she disappeared out of sight.
One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip. After the union, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity. My neighbours said that she died. I did not shed a single tear. They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have.
‘My dearest son, I think of you all the time. I’m sorry that I came to your house and scared your children. I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you. I’m sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were growing up.
You see……..when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye. As a mother, I couldn’t stand watching you having to grow up with one eye. So I gave you mine. I was so proud of my son who was seeinga whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye.
With all my love to you,
Your mother.’
MORAL LESSON:
Always LOVE your parents. They are a blessing to you.

It was their anniversary, and Maryam was waiting for her husband Bilal to show up. Things had changed since their marriage, the once cute, Couldn’t-live without-each-other couple had turned bitter…
Fighting over every little thing, both didn’t like the way things had changed. Maryam was waiting to see if Bilal remembered it was their anniversary! Just as the door bell rang she ran to find her husband, wet and smiling with a bunch of flowers in his hand. The two started reliving the old days. Making up for fights, there was then plans for dinner, a walk on the beach and much more. And rain outside! It was just perfect.

But the magical moment was paused when the phone in the bedroom rang. Maryam went to pick it up and it was a man. “Hello ma’am, I’m calling from the police station. Is this Mr Bilal Mahomed’ number?” “Yes it is!” “Im sorry mam; but there was an accident and a man died. We got this number from his wallet; we need u to come and identify his body.” Maryam’s heart sank… WHAT ON EARTH!!!! “But my husband is here with me?” “Sorry mam, but the incident took place at 2, when he was boarding the subway. Maryam was about to lose her senses. How could this happen!? She knew these type of things she has heard about the soul of the person coming to meet a loved one before it leaves!
She ran into the other room. He was not there. It was true! He had left her for good! Oh God, she would have died for another chance to make amends for every little silly fight before now! She rolled on the floor in pain. She lost her chance! Forever!

Suddenly there was a noise from the bathroom, the door opened and Bilal came out again and said, “Hun, I forgot to tell you my wallet was stolen today”

LIFE MIGHT NOT GIVE U A SECOND CHANCE. SO NEVER WASTE A MOMENT WHEN YOU CAN MAKE UP FOR YOUR DEEDS!!! Let’s start making amends with spouses, With parents, With in-laws, With siblings, With friends, With children, With everyone in short. Share love not hate, you don’t know how long you’ve got to live really.

Beautiful short stories

A little boy wanted to meet God .He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with a bag of Potato chips and a six-pack of root beer and started his journey.

When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old woman. She was sitting in the park, just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the old lady looked hungry, so he offered her some chips. She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him.

Her smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her a root beer. Again, she smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.

As twilight approached, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave; but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old woman, and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever. When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, “What did you do today that made you so happy?” He replied, “I had lunch with God.” But before his mother could respond, he added, “You know what? She’s got the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen!”

Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and he asked, “Mother, what did you do today that made you so happy?” She replied! “I ate potato chips in the park with God.” However, before her son responded, she added, “You know, he’s much younger than I expected.”

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime! Embrace all equally!

One truck driver was doing his usual load delivery at a mental hospital, by parking his vehicle beside an open drain. He discovered a flat tyre when he was about to return from the mental hospital. He jacked up the truck and removed the flat tyre to fix the spare tyre.

When he was about to fix the spare tyre, he accidentally dropped all the 4 bolts in the open drain. As he cannot fish the bolts in the open drain, he started to panic as to what should be done?

Just then, one patient happened to walk past him and asked the driver as to why he was looking troubled. The driver thought to himself, since there is nothing much he can do or this mental joker can.Just to keep the bugging away, the truck driver informed the whole episode to the mental patient and gave a helpless look.

The patient just laughed at the truck driver and said you just cannot even fix such a simple problem? “No wonder you are destined to remain a truck driver for life”.

The truck driver was astonished to hear such a compliment from a mental guy. “Here is what you can do” said the mental guy… “take one bolt from each of the remaining 3 tyres / wheels and fix it on to this tyre. Then drive down to the nearest workshop and replace the missing ones. Isn’t it simple my friend”.

The truck driver was so impressed with this quick fix answer and asked the patient “How come you are so smart and intelligent and you are here at the mental hospital?”
The patient replied “Hello friend! I stay here because I am crazy but not stupid”.

No wonder, there are some people, who behave like the Truck Driver, thinking that others are just stupid. So, guys, though you all are learned and wise, but, just watch out, there could be some CRAZY guys in our professional / personal lives, who could give us lot of quick fixes and brush our wisdom.

Moral of the story :
Just do not conclude that you know everything and do not judge people by mere looks/ attire stature or academic background!
